MediaIndex connects RSS and Atom feeds from European news websites. Once connected, publication headlines appear in the selected country edition and link directly to the source website.

MediaIndex does not republish complete articles. Each news item displays the headline, the source’s name and favicon, the publication time and a direct link to the original material. The source website opens in a new browser tab.

 

Connection terms

An application may be submitted by the website owner or an authorised representative of the publication. Before connecting a feed, MediaIndex reviews the website, its published content, the technical operation of the RSS feed and its relevance to the selected country edition.

MediaIndex independently decides whether a source can be connected. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval.

 

Pricing

RSS feed connection is available under one of two plans:

  • 99 EUR — connection for 30 days;
  • 999 EUR — connection for 365 days.

Payment is requested only after the application has been reviewed and approved. A payment link is sent to the email address provided in the application. The connection period begins after payment has been confirmed and the feed has been activated by a MediaIndex administrator.

The feed is automatically disabled when the paid period ends.

 

Connection process

  1. A representative of the publication completes the form and provides the website, RSS feed, country, language and contact email address.
  2. The submitted email address is confirmed using a link valid for 24 hours.
  3. MediaIndex reviews the website and checks the technical operation of the feed.
  4. After approval, a payment link is sent to the confirmed email address.
  5. Once payment has been confirmed, MediaIndex connects and configures the feed.
  6. New publications begin appearing automatically in the relevant country edition.

Placement and popularity

A paid connection does not provide priority placement, influence the editorial order or guarantee a specific number of visits.

The connected feed participates in the general news feed under the same conditions as other standard sources. The popularity of publications is determined by actual visits from MediaIndex users to the original materials.

 

Source requirements

The source must be an active media or news website with a stable RSS or Atom feed and regularly updated publications.

The publication remains solely responsible for the content, legality, accuracy and relevance of its materials. MediaIndex reserves the right to reject an application or disconnect a source if the platform’s terms are violated.
